GIANTS forward Jonny Patton faces a fitness test ahead of the club’s Friday night clash against the Bulldogs.

Patton withdrew from the GIANTS’ win over Melbourne last weekend after feeling hamstring tightness following the club’s main training session on Wednesday.

He trained on Friday morning but the club opted not to risk the star forward.

Young midfielder Will Setterfield will be available for selection after overcoming the effects of a concussion sustained in round 19 against Fremantle. Setterfield was rested from all football last weekend.

Forward Jeremy Cameron remains 2-3 weeks away from a return to the field after suffering a hamstring tear in round 19.

Ryan Griffen and Tim Taranto are continuing their rehabilitations - both from syndesmosis ankle injuries - and look set to remain on the sidelines for a further 3-4 weeks.

There were no fresh injuries from either of the GIANTS’ AFL and NEAFL clashes.
