The GIANTS have made just one change, bringing in debutant Will Setterfield for his first AFL game against Richmond at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.

The 190cm GIANTS Academy graduate – who was selected with pick five at the 2016 NAB AFL Draft – becomes the club’s fifth debutant this season.

Setterfield said he had no idea he’d be making his debut despite being named in the GIANTS’ 25-man squad on Thursday night.

“It was sort of in limbo the last couple of days I wasn’t sure if I was in or out,” he said.

“Leon called me into the club this morning and gave me the nod.

“It’s a dream come true, I can’t wait to get out there on Sunday and play alongside a great bunch of boys.”

Out of the side goes Matt de Boer who has been omitted and joins vice-captain Stephen Coniglio and Isaac Cumming as the emergencies.

Coniglio will line up for the GIANTS Reserves against Sydney University in the NEAFL on Saturday.

Joining him in the orange and charcoal for the first time this season is former Tiger and star recruit Brett Deledio, who is expected to play 50-60 per cent of game time in his recovery from persistent calf injuries.

The GIANTS take on Richmond at 1:10pm on Sunday at the MCG with the club holding a post-match function at the ground following the game.

This is you best chance to meet your favourite GIANTS players for an autograph or photo when they head to the Yarra Park Room inside the Olympic Stand.
