Up to five GIANTS will be put through their paces during Wednesday’s main training session in a bid to be fit to for Sydney Derby XIII at Spotless Stadium on Saturday night.

Three time premiership veteran Steve Johnson (knee), reigning club champion Toby Greene (ankle), star half-back Zac Williams (hamstring) and journeyman Sam Reid (ankle) will all need to complete training to put their hands up for selection.

Young draftee Lachie Tiziani (knee) is the other player set to return to the field, should he get through the session.

Saturday shapes as a crucial match for both sides with the Swans sitting in the eight for the first time this season and the GIANTS coming off back-to-back draws.

In good news on the injury front, several players are edging closer to returning with vice-captain Stephen Coniglio 1-2 weeks away with his ankle injury and young stars Jacob Hopper (ankle) and Harry Himmelberg (finger) both set to put their hands up in the next 2-3 weeks.

Be there as the GIANTS take on cross-town rivals the Swans in the latest instalment in the Sydney Derby in a blockbuster Saturday night clash at Spotless Stadium.
