Defender Aidan Corr has extended his contract with the GIANTS until the end of the 2020 season.

Already contracted until the end of 2018, Corr joins a long list of GIANTS to put pen to paper on new contract in recent months.

Drafted with pick 14 of the 2012 NAB AFL Draft, the 23-year old said it was an easy decision to re-sign with GIANTS.

“I jumped straight at it like a lot of the other boys have lately,” he said.

“I was rapt when the offer was put there as it was the best thing for me and my football.

“I love it here in Sydney and coming to work every day with 40 ripping blokes made it very easy for me to sign.”

Corr has played 11 games this season and has only missed one of the GIANTS' 10 wins so far.

It’s a far cry from the start of his time at the GIANTS, with Corr playing in 14 successive losses before finally tasting success.

“Early on we were getting smacked. The backline was just watching the ball sail over our heads and it was pretty tough,” he said.

“Starting to win together and appreciating all those little wins has started to bond us together and we’re enjoying it together.”

GIANTS General Manager of Football Wayne Campbell has welcomed Corr’s contract extension.

“Aidan has been through his fair share of ups and downs with injury but this year he has established himself as a reliable part of our backline,” he said.

“He’s a highly-valued member of the club and is well respected by his teammates.

“Aidan’s in his fifth season at the club and is starting to reap the rewards of the hard work he and his teammates have put in over the years.”

Corr’s joins the ever-growing list of GIANTS to re-commit to the club in 2017 with Dylan Shiel, Jon Patton, Adam Kennedy, Zac Williams, Adam Tomlinson, Matt Buntine, Tim Taranto, Will Setterfield, Harry Perryman, Jeremy Finlayson and Matthew Flynn re-signing recently.
