The GIANTS’ AFL Women’s players will have an opportunity to write their own history having been presented with their inaugural playing jumpers ahead of the NAB AFL Women’s season, starting this weekend.
With just days to go until the players will take to the field for their first game against the Crows in Adelaide on Saturday, the women were presented with their playing numbers and jumpers at the GIANTS season launch on Monday night.
The players were presented with their jumpers by the corresponding player in the men’s team, in a launch that features both the GIANTS’ men’s and women’s teams as well as GIANTS Netball.
The club’s inaugural AFL Women’s team will play the Adelaide Crows at Thebarton Oval in Adelaide on Saturday at 5:05pm EDST with live coverage on Fox Footy and the AFL App.
