GIANTS forward Devon Smith will return to the field tomorrow following knee surgery last month.

Having not played since April 24, the GIANTS conditioning staff will take a cautious approach when he returns through the NEAFL.

The clever small forward is expected to play around 50 per cent of the match for the WSU GIANTS against Sydney University at Spotless Stadium.

Smith, who was added to the GIANTS leadership group during the pre-season, played four of the first five games of the AFL season before having an operation to clean up some cartilage in his knee.

The fourth placed WSU GIANTS have named a strong team to take on Sydney University with 14 listed players set to line up.

Following a three week lay off due to a shoulder injury, defender Adam Kennedy has been named as an emergency for the AFL side and is expected to play in the NEAFL.

The GIANTS and Sydney University play for the Chancellor’s Cup with the match getting underway at 12.55pm.

The NEAFL match will be streamed live here from first bounce.

The GIANTS take on Carlton at home at Spotless Stadium on Saturday afternoon at 4.35pm with tickets starting from just $48 for two adults and two children and adults $24.
