GIANTS defender Tim Mohr will be sidelined for the next five to six weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Mohr injured his hamstring in the opening term of Sunday’s match against the Western Bulldogs at Spotless Stadium.

It was just the second match back in the AFL for Mohr who’s overcome two knee reconstructions to continue his AFL career.

Fellow defenders Matt Buntine and Nick Haynes both suffered concussions during the game and will be assessed further this week.

Buntine’s concussion in the first term ruled him out for the rest of the match while Haynes’ concussion in the fourth term was minor.

In better news for the GIANTS, co-captain Phil Davis could be available to return to the line-up to stabilise the back line following a raft of injuries.

Davis has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and will have to prove his fitness this week to take on his former club on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.

Exciting forward Will Hoskin-Elliott could also return to the field this week after being sidelined with a recurring hamstring injury.

In other injury news, James Stewart will miss one match with an ITB (leg) injury while Ryan Griffen (back), Jake Barrett (hip flexor), Aidan Corr (ankle), Caleb Marchbank (ankle) and Devon Smith (knee) remain on track to return to the field in the coming weeks.
