Best mates Jeremy Cameron and Devon Smith will return to the GIANTS line up together to take on the Saints at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

GIANTS four-time leading goalkicker Cameron was named in the side on Thursday night after serving a four-game suspension.

Small forward Smith is the only other inclusion after missing last week’s record victory over Port Adelaide with a knee complaint. The round four win was the first time in the GIANTS’ history they’ve won without Devon Smith in the team.

“He had a good week on the track,” coach Leon Cameron told GIANTS TV.

“It’s been a bit of an indifferent pre-season for Dev, he’s had a few little issues with his knees but he’s trained really well and had a really good preparation so he’s looking forward to playing well on Sunday.”

Rhys Palmer, Nick Haynes and Jacob Hopper drop off the extended interchange bench and will be the emergencies for Sunday’s match while utility Adam Tomlinson was omitted on Thursday.

“There’s always going to be unlucky selections every week,” Cameron said.

“I think our squad is getting old enough to understand that it’s not just the team that gets the job done week-in, week-out, it’s the entire squad and we’ll be calling on a number of players this year to play their role.

“The 22 that line up on Sunday know that we’ve got one hell of a battle on our hands.”

Cameron is under no illusions that it’ll be a tough task facing the in-form Saints on their home deck.

“It’s going to be really tough and hard. Yeah, it was a good performance by us last week but Port would openly admit they were off their game and we played some good footy,” he said.

“But we come up against an opposition this week that are on top of their game, it’s their home ground and they play well at Etihad.

“We’ve just got to make sure we match them in all facets of the game because if we don’t then it’s going to be a long day.”

The GIANTS and Saints are proud to support charity partner Soldier On at Sunday's ANZAC weekend clash and beyond.

Both the GIANTS and Saints have strong partnerships with Soldier On, who help returned Australian servicemen and women wounded while serving their country, with the organisation the official partner of Sunday’s game between the two sides.

The GIANTS take on St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 1.10pm with live coverage on 7mate in NSW and the ACT and Fox Footy all across Australia.
