The GIANTS boys are back in town and there’s plenty to look forward to ahead of the 2016 AFL Premiership season.
Players returned to training this week after spending a fortnight with family and friends over the Christmas break.
It’s the second block of pre-season with the the club’s first NAB Challenge match against the Western Bulldogs in Canberra just around the corner on Thursday, February 25.
Between now and then there are several opportunities for fans to get up close and personal with their favourite GIANTS stars.
The fun kicks off later this month with the next Kids in the Park Clinic taking place at Tom Wills Oval on Tuesday, January 19.
Supporters are invited to watch the GIANTS train before meeting the team and getting some autographs.
If you can’t make that particular session don’t panic because February is jam-packed with fan-orientated events starting with an intra-club match at Tom Wills Oval on Wednesday, February 17.
This year will see the GIANTS spread their Australia Post AFL Community Camps across both Western Sydney and Canberra.
Visits to local schools, clubs and hospitals will also be made to Wagga Wagga, Griffith and Broken Hill.
The Western Sydney visits will take place on Thursday, February 18 while the GIANTS head to ACT and the rest of NSW on Friday, February 26.
In between the community camp visits is the GIANTS’ annual Fan Day at Blacktown International Sportspark on Sunday, February 21.
There will be lots of fun activities for the kids, a jumper presentation with players and live music to enjoy.
Pre-season games against the Sydney Swans at Drummoyne Oval (March 4) and Brisbane Lions at Metricon Stadium (March 13) round out the NAB Challenge before the real action starts.
The GIANTS first match of the premiership season is against Melbourne on Saturday, March 26 at the MCG.
