Summary: With unlimited potential and an exciting game style, there is a lot to like about young draftee Jarrod Pickett. The talented small forward joined the club at the end of 2014 and played 17 games in his first season for the UWS GIANTS. Pickett struggled early with the increased training load but found his feet once he adapted to a professional football club environment. By the end of the season Pickett was pushing for senior selection and finished the year with a solid tally of 26 goals.

Pat On The Back: It’s not easy moving interstate and being thrown in the deep end of an AFL club but Pickett responded well and has the potential to be a future star.

What They Said: "It probably surprised us a little bit with how well he did cope. Some of his training habits weren't where we wanted them to be, but he came around really quickly. He was willing to ask and seek advice." - NEAFL Coach Brett Hand.

Look Ahead: The 2016 season is looming as a big one for Pickett who will hope to break into the senior side and strut his stuff on the big stage. With another pre-season under his belt expect this exciting 18-year-old to step things up to another level. Again.
