Background: Aidan Corr was selected with pick 14 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft. He made his debut against Essendon in Round 6, 2013.

Best Game: AFL Round 9 v Western Bulldogs - 16 touches, 6 marks, 3 tackles, 10 one-percenters and 6 rebound-50s.

Summary: Few GIANTS developed more than defender Aidan Corr this season after the 21-year-old cemented himself as one of the club’s key defenders. Corr played the majority of the season and was forced to match-up on some more experienced opponents in the absence on Tim Mohr and - at times - co-captain Phil Davis and Joel Patfull. Corr led the club in one-percenters (spoils, shepherds, knock-ons and smothers) and was ranked 16th in the competition overall. 

Pat On The Back: Corr wasn’t intimidated by his bigger opponents and his ruthless competitiveness helped effectively cover some of his injured teammates.

Look Ahead: With the GIANTS’ key defensive stocks already tested with Tim Mohr suffering another ACL rupture, expect Aidan Corr to play a similar role in 2016. He may be stretched at times by more experienced opponents but he’s learning quicker than most.
