The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS would like to congratulate Israel Folau on becoming the first player to win consecutive John Eales medals.

In just three years playing Rugby, Folau has become one of the Wallabies most valuable players, joining George Smith and Nathan Sharpe as two-time winners of the prestigious award.

After a successful NRL career, Folau crossed codes to join the GIANTS ahead of their debut season in the AFL.

Folau played in a variety of roles in his 13 games for the GIANTS in 2012 under the tutelage of legendary coach Kevin Sheedy.

The 26-year old will represent Australia at his first Rugby World Cup in the United Kingdom later this year.

Good luck “Izzy” from all your friends at the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS.
