Australia Post AFL Multicultural Ambassador Stephen Coniglio visited the Minchinbury StarTrack Express facility to meet the staff and help promote this week's Multicultural Round match against Essendon on Sunday.

This week’s AFL round will celebrate ‘Many Cultures One Game’ and highlight the community engagement initiatives being undertaken by the ambassadors and the entire Australian football industry.

Australia Post is the proud partner of the AFL’s Multicultural programs and the official Community Inclusion partner of the AFL through a range of player and local level ambassador roles and community programs.

The AFL’s Multicultural Unit has been established to ensure Australian football is a vehicle that encourages community strengthening and inclusion within the wider Australian community.

In 2015, multicultural players make up 15 per cent of the AFL player list. Coniglio, with his Italian heritage, is one of 12 player ambassadors from 11 AFL clubs and is in his second year in the role.

He works with the NSW Multicultural Talent Academy, helps drive NSW Multicultural Round, and is a talent mentor to multicultural participants in the talent pathway.

Coniglio visited the StarTrack Express facility this week to thank Australia Post for their support of the AFL and to encourage people from all walks of life to come along and watch the GIANTS take on Essendon on Sunday at Spotless Stadium.

The GIANTS will be celebrating 2015 Toyota AFL Multicultural Round with a number of activities recognising the diverse cultures that make up our game.
