LAST WEEK

Gallant in defeat, the GIANTS gave plenty of things for Fantasy fans to like in their trip to Perth on Sunday.

Once again playing a Fantasy friendly game, Heath Shaw racked up 147 points to now be the most expensive player from Greater Western Sydney. Shaw did his coaches proud getting that extra point for choosing to kick over handballing as he went by foot 26 times to six. He also took and equal game high 13 marks and went on to lay six tackles.

Midfielder Adam Treloar found the ball 33 times for 127 while Stephen Coniglio went to over $500K off the back of his 109.

TOP 5 SCORERS V FREMANTLE

  • 147 – Heath Shaw (DEF, $562,000)
  • 127 – Adam Treloar (MID, $553,000)
  • 109 – Stephen Coniglio (MID, $503,000)
  • 100 – Toby Greene (FWD/MID, $456,000)
  • 99 – Joshua Kelly (FWD/MID, $376,000)

ON THE RADAR

At this stage of the season, most teams are nearing completion. The cash cows have dried up and value is limited.

Heath Shaw still presents value as a top-line defender to bring in this round as his breakeven remains relatively low at 80. Adam Treloar and Callan Ward should be considered as premium midfield options.

A green vest has halted the cash generation of Jack Steele. His breakeven of 79 is still achievable, but his 37 points saw him drop $9K in value. It’s time to upgrade Steele after his fantastic start to his career in the orange and in our Fantasy teams.

WHAT’S COMING UP

The GIANTS host the Bombers on Sunday afternoon at Spotless Stadium.

Last time the two sides met, we saw some massive scores. Adam Treloar (130) kicked three goals to go with his 27 touches and seven marks. Devon Smith (128) had 33 disposals and Heath Shaw (125) again had a great kick to handball ratio of 30:1.

Callan Ward (108) and Dylan Shiel (105) also cracked the ton.
