As we celebrate Adam Tomlinson’s 50th AFL game, we bring you a blockbuster edition of Fast 5 with 20 things you may not have know about our number 20.

1. This week Tommo will play his 50th AFL game on Saturday against Geelong at StarTrack Oval in Canberra.

2. He comes from a sporty family with his parents both good athletes too. Mum Kaye was a state league netballer and junior track runner while dad Peter played tennis and football. He’s the youngest of three siblings and has two sisters, Hayley and Kristy. They may have been heavily involved in the creation of this list.

3. His sister Hayley once smashed him in the face with a cricket bat on Christmas Day so his mum bought him scissors in his favourite colour - yellow - to make up for it. He then tried to cut his name into his fringe with them.

4. When he was a kid he was scared of the rain because he thought his house would flood. His sisters used to tell him to run upstairs to stay dry while he cried because he was so worried.

5. Growing up he couldn’t remember the days of the week until he was eight - He kept forgetting Thursday.

6. He once jumped on a desk when a mouse ran into his room. He was 18.

7. He’s a massive fan of chick flicks with Mean Girls, She’s the Man and A Cinderella Story among his favourites.

9. He loves Taylor Swift. Her music, her videos, just anything Tay Tay. She hasn’t responded to any of his tweets to her yet though.

10. He bought a house in Sydney this year at just 21. After living with co-captain Phil Davis for a couple of years, he’s branched out on his own in his new cottage in Balmain.

11. Along with the new house, he also got a new dog. Her name is Bonnie and she’s an eight-week-old Staffy puppy.

14. His Dad is a dentist and his surgery in Melbourne is decked out in memorabilia of the number 20 GIANT.

15. He could have become a netballer. He played more netball games than football games until he was 14 and was a more than adequate goal defence.
