LAST WEEK

Despite the loss, there were some impressive Fantasy performances from the Giants.

Adam Treloar racked up 29 disposals to go with his game-high 11 tackles to finish with 131 points. Heath Shaw’s run of form continued with 14 marks helping him to 30 disposals and 128 points. The defender is averaging 102.8 from his last five matches to be the second highest scoring player available to be selected as a back this season.

Of special note was Jack Steele on debut. The ball-magnet was able to post 92 points thanks to his tackling game where we went on to lay 10 tackles and collect 17 disposals. Steele is worth every dollar of his price premium and he will be a very popular inclusion after the bye.

ON THE RADAR

The GIANTS have the bye this week and the boys all have ‘blue dots’ in Fantasy for round 12. Sub them onto your bench and be ready to bring them back on in round 14.

When normal transmission resumes, Jack Steele should be at the top of the list to bring in. Not only does he have a Fantasy game about him, he is a dual position player. As a FWD/MID, Steele offers flexibility for your squad. At $249,000 and a breakeven of 10, get on board the young GIANT as a cash cow who will give you solid scores over the next few weeks.

Keep an eye on Tom Downie if he gets named to have a crack in the ruck due to the absence of Shane Mumford. He scored a whopping 171 points in the NEAFL on the weekend and costs just $120,000.

WHAT’S COMING UP

After a well-earned rest, the GIANTS travel to the MCG to take on Richmond on Saturday July 4.

Back in round 19 last season, the Tigers took the points but Toby Greene (116), Adam Treloar (103) and Dylan Shiel (102) all posted excellent scores.
