Ruckman Andrew Phillips has withdrawn from the GIANTS side to face North Melbourne at Spotless Stadium on Saturday.

“Andrew pulled up with a sore back after training today,” coach Leon Cameron said.

“It’s disappointing because he was looking forward to his chance to lead the ruck but he’ll get more opportunities in the back half of the year.”

Forward/ruck James Stewart comes back into the 22 after being omitted when teams were first announced on Thursday.

“James has played a fair bit of senior football this year as the second ruck so we’ve got full confidence he’ll play that role well again tomorrow.”

Stewart has played eight of 11 games and kicked 10 goals this year.

The GIANTS play North Melbourne at Spotless Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday at 4.35pm with family passes starting from just $48. CLICK HERE to get your tickets now.
