Young gun Dylan Shiel has pushed his way back to the top three of the AFLCA Coaches Award after a perfect 10 votes in the GIANTS’ win over Adelaide.

Shiel earned the maximum five votes from GIANTS coach Leon Cameron and his Crows counterpart Phil Walsh after 34 touches, four tackles, 11 score involvements and a goal in the win.

It’s the third time this season the prolific midfielder has scored a perfect 10 from the coaches after best-on-ground performances in both rounds one and four.

He's now sitting in
third spot on the leaderboard just behind Swans midfielder Dan Hannebery and runaway leader, Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe. 22-year-old Shiel is ahead of the likes of Scott Pendlebury, Matt Priddis and David Armitage.

The AFLCA Champion Player of the Year is voted on weekly by both of the senior coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis. Each senior coach votes on their match only and any player suspensions are disregarded.

Rounding out the vote-getters for the GIANTS was Adam Treloar, who has had a similarly superb start to 2015, new recruit Ryan Griffen, this week’s NAB AFL Rising Star nominee Cam McCarthy and Devon Smith, who had 10 tackles for the match.

Shiel will head to Melbourne with his teammates this weekend with the GIANTS looking to secure their fourth win in a row and back-to-back wins against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
