In the lead up to the GIANTS' clash with Adelaide at Spotless Stadium, we’ve examined some of the key statistical components that could influence the match.

Jezza on Song – Jeremy Cameron has been at his most dangerous over the last fortnight, kicking seven goals against reigning premiers Hawthorn and then backing up with another five goal haul against Carlton last week. The 22-year is sitting third on the Coleman Medal leaderboard with 24 goals for the season. Cameron is also ranked fifth in the competition for marks inside-50.

Disposal Efficiency – The GIANTS have been hitting most of their targets this season with a total effective disposal percentage of 74.6% which has them ranked fourth in the competition. Adelaide, however, have a total effective disposal percentage of 70.8% this season, ranking them 15th in the AFL.

Jaensch/Smith Loss – The Crows will be without key play-maker Matthew Jaensch who will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL last week. Jaensch was in good form this season, sitting second in the league for total marks and ninth in total kicks. Adelaide will also miss All Australian Brodie Smith who sustained his second concussion in a month after clashing heads with St Kilda skipper Nick Riewoldt last week.

Formidable Forwards – This clash at Spotless Stadium will boast some of the best forwards in the game at both ends of the ground. Adelaide’s attacking combination of Taylor Walker (21 goals) and Eddie Betts (26 goals) has caused headaches for opposition sides this season while the GIANTS have Jeremy Cameron (24 goals) and Cam McCarthy (17 goals) doing most of the damage.

Troublesome Treloar – Midfielder Adam Treloar has a strong record against Adelaide, averaging 26 touches in his last three matches against the Crows. Treloar is coming off a best on ground performance against Carlton where he amassed 31 disposals, eight marks, five tackles and three goals.
