GIANTS co-captain Phil Davis will face a fitness test ahead of the club's clash with Adelaide at Spotless Stadium on Saturday.

The defender suffered a corked leg in the GIANTS' round six victory over Hawthorn.

Davis was a late withdrawal for the clash against the Blues and was replaced in the side by fellow defender Aidan Corr.

There were no other injuries to report from the GIANTS' match against Carlton last Saturday.

In other news, 26-year-old defender Tim Mohr will have knee surgery next week after re-rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the NEAFL earlier this month.

Mohr is facing his second bout of reconstructive surgery after originally injuring his knee against Geelong in round 18, 2014.

Midfielder Sam Schulz is on track to play his first match of the season for the UWS GIANTS after having hip surgery in the off-season.

Schulz had an unfortunate 2014 season with shoulder and and rib injuries limiting his output.

Meanwhile Jon Patton (knee), Lachie Plowman (elbow), Adam Tomlinson (toe), Rhys Palmer (shoulder) Liam Sumner (wrist) and Jacob Townsend (foot) remain in the rehab group and are expected to return to the field in the coming weeks.
