LAST WEEK

Sadly it wasn’t a trip to Perth to remember for the GIANTS and for those like me who had Cam McCarthy on the ground, we were left with just 42 points. A score that could have been a bit nicer had he not given away three free kicks! Sunshine, we love you, but make sure you’re cracking 50 to you’re making more cash for us!

Three tons in a row has seen Devon Smith add $18K this week to find himself worth back over $500K. He top scored for the Giants in the match followed by defender Heath Shaw and the in-form Dylan Shiel who showed a lot of ticker for his Fantasy coaches.

TOP 5 SCORERS V WEST COAST

  1.      119 – Devon Smith (FWD, $505,000)
  2.      106 – Heath Shaw (DEF, $449,000)
  3.      102 – Dylan Shiel (MID, $541,000)
  4.      101 – Callan Ward (MID, $559,000)
  5.        96 – Lachie Whitfield (MID, $479,000)

ON THE RADAR

With no lads in the negatives for breakevens this week, we might look at some players worth waiting on. Adam Treloar is a gun and he is having a slow start to the year, averaging 91.6. He is down $54K from his initial value and with a breakeven of 126, he is close to bottoming out and would be a great buy – possibly after the Hawthorn match.

Will Hoskin-Elliott’s green vest and 11 points saw his price drop $30K. He will continue to drop his price over the next couple of weeks before being a potential straight swap for a rookie such as McCarthy.

WHAT’S COMING UP

Last time the GIANTS played the Hawks, they took it right up to them at the MCG and fell short by just seven points.

Devon Smith (137), Callan Ward (134), Lachie Whitfield (125) and Adam Treloar (120) outscored the best Hawk (Isaac Smith with 115). Ward and Treloar are projected to score 105 and 104 respectively.

This could be the last week we hold onto Cam McCarthy. He is now worth $294,000 and with a breakeven of 31, he should achieve that and be worth over $300K and then we can look to upgrade him.
