GIANTS midfielder Adam Treloar has quashed talk of a possible move to Collingwood, branding it a pure "media speculation".

Channel Nine's The Footy Show reported on Thursday night that Treloar, who is coming out of contract, was being targeted by the Magpies with a lucrative five-year offer.

Speaking in Perth ahead of the GIANTS’ clash with West Coast on Saturday night, Treloar said he had not heard about the offer until the report surfaced on Thursday.

"I did hear about that yesterday," Treloar said at Domain Stadium on Friday morning.

"And it's the first I've heard of it.

"That's just all speculation. That's just the media doing what media does best in making stories up.

"I am very happy here. I love the GIANTS. At the moment all I care about is playing footy. I've got a great management team who really look after me. They take care of all that stuff and I'm here to play footy."

Treloar said he was committed to the GIANTS and wanted to end the speculation sooner rather than later.

"Once it all gets settled down we can end that speculation because it's all nonsense," Treloar said.

"What we're really building here is a winning culture. It's been tough for us early days being a new team.

"I just want to be a part of a winning culture and be a part of something that we started, that I've started since I've been here.”

Treloar is one of a number of GIANTS coming out of contract with youngsters Dylan Shiel, Stephen Coniglio and Will Hoskin-Elliott among the group. Treloar said he had not spoken to any of them specifically about staying but was confident they all would.

"It's really important in 50 years time that we can look back and say we were the ones who set the foundation and there's a lot of players here that I reckon will re-sign in the next couple of weeks," Treloar said.

"Dylan Shiel, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Stephen Coniglio and a few others are out of contract, but again I just think they're going to see where we're heading and they've been here basically since the start and they're going to want to be here for a very, very long time.”
