LAST WEEK

A whopping 39 disposals shot Dylan Shiel (MID, $536,000) to the top of the table this round, racking up 135 Fantasy points. This was a nice relief for his 2547 owners who enjoyed his 101 and 136 in the first two rounds before putting up 47 last week.

Devon Smith (FWD, $487,000) has found form with back-to-back Fantasy tons while Stephen Coniglio (MID, $494,000) enjoyed a price rise of $19K this week. I picked up the gun midfielder and was happy with his 103 on debut for the Warne Dawgs.

TOP 5 SCORERS V GOLD COAST

  1. 1.     135 – Dylan Shiel (MID, $536,000)
  2. 2.     126 – Callan Ward (MID, $555,000)
  3. 3.     116 – Tom Scully (MID, $448,000)
  4. 4.     112 – Devon Smith (FWD, $487,000)
  5. 5.     103 – Adam Treloar (MID, $559,000)
            103 – Stephen Coniglio (MID, $494,000)

ON THE RADAR

Each week we mention Cam McCarthy (FWD, $273,000) as a profitable cash cow. Sunshine knocked up his highest score, booting five goals and finishing on 98 points. A very worthy on-field player this round. With a breakeven of -9, there is still plenty of cash to be made.

Shane Mumford (RUC, $489,000) is one of the competition’s premier ruckmen. His breakeven of 92 is achievable this week, however it would be worth waiting one more round to get him in as his price bottoms out. Regardless of whether you get him this week or next, if we’re paying under $500K for him, then he’s a good buy.

WHAT’S COMING UP

A roadtrip to Perth is what awaits the GIANTS this week as they head west to take on the Eagles. Callan Ward (MID, $555,000) is projected to top score. He loves paying in WA. Ward has averaged 115.7 in his last three matches at Domain Stadium.

Personally I’m hoping Coniglio will post his fourth ton in a row while my colleague, Calvin, has his fingers crossed that Lachie Whitfield (MID, $482,000) avoids the tag and substitute vest.
