The GIANTS have named eight huge inclusions in the squad to face the Swans in the club's final pre-season game at StarTrack Oval in Canberra on Sunday.

Co-captain Callan Ward, midfield stars Ryan Griffen, Dylan Shiel and Josh Kelly, exciting forward Will Hoskin-Elliott and key defenders Joel Patfull and Nick Haynes have all been named for the GIANTS' final match of the NAB Challenge.

Leon Cameron said it was fantastic to be able to name such a strong line-up just 17 days out from round one.

“The great thing about it is we’ve got a pretty healthy list with the exception of three or four," Cameron told GIANTS TV.

"Competition for spots is hot … I think we've probably got 30-32 players that can definitely play AFL football week-in week-out.

"Those players that come back in we’ve monitored there ground time over NAB Cup but there are always going to be seven or eight players that are going to be pretty stiff.

“We’re going to find out who’s going to be that 22 that represents us against St Kilda in round one and onwards so it’s a tough game this week."

With the Swans also naming a strong outfit, Cameron is looking forward to a tough contest against the GIANTS' cross-town rivals in Canberra

"The Swans are always a really good hit out. They played well against Fremantle last week," Cameron said.

"Obviously the rivalry is there which is fantastic and I think it’s going to be a great spectacle at StarTrack Oval in Canberra.

"Everyone sort of earmarks that last game before the week off and then the season starts as a real fair dinkum hit-out."

The GIANTS won their first NAB Challenge game against the Suns by 36-points before following it up with a 45-point win over Essendon last Friday night. But Cameron said the GIANTS would face their toughest challenge yet this weekend.

“Winning these early games in the NAB Challenge is great for our confidence … But we understand where the sides we’ve played were at in terms of how many players they were resting," he said.

"We’re under no illusions about how good Sydney are. It’s a great test this Sunday and we’re looking forward to it."

The GIANTS will hold their annual GIANTS UNSW Canberra Fan Day at StarTrack Oval from 3pm on Saturday following their final training session.

"We encourage all our supporters from Canberra and surrounding areas to come on down and see the players and then most importantly, come to the game on Sunday and support us against the Swans," he said.

“I think the crowd could be up to 10-thousand people on a Sunday afternoon, the weather looks like it's going to be fantastic."

The game will be played at StarTrack Oval at 1.10pm on Sunday with FREE entry for all GIANTS members with game access passes. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketek and start from just $18 for an adult and $4 for a junior.

Free chartered buses will be running for GIANTS members and Ticket holders for all the GIANTS games at StarTrack Oval, Canberra this season. Head to ACTION Buses for more details.

The 27-man squad will be cut to 24 with the final team and substitutes to be named prior to the game on Sunday. There will be four players on the bench and two starting substitutes with 120 interchanges during the match.
