The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS will receive pick seven in next month's NAB AFL Draft as part of a trade deal with Carlton.

The GIANTS will receive the first round selection in exchange for out of contract players Kristian Jaksch and Mark Whiley and pick 19.

Jaksch played seven games for the GIANTS in two years. Whiley has played 12 games for the GIANTS after making his debut in 2012.

GIANTS List Manager Stephen Silvagni said: "We think this is a good trade which gives us another high first round selection which can also be traded if we want to."

The GIANTS have already acquired dual Brisbane Lions best and fairest winner Joel Patfull and committed to PM CAPITAL GIANTS Academy players Jack Steele and Jeremy Finalyson during the trade period.

The GIANTS now have picks 4,7, 24 (committed to Steele), 40, 62, 80, 98 and 116 (committed to Finlayson) in next month's NAB AFL Draft.
