The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS have secured another three young players until the end of 2017.

Defenders Nick Haynes and Adam Kennedy and ruckman Rory Lobb have agreed to two-year extensions beyond their current contracts at the end of 2015.

It follows the decision by key forward Jonathon Patton last week to also commit to the GIANTS until the end of 2017.

Their re-signings mean 39 players have now committed to the club until the end of 2015 or beyond.

GIANTS Chief Executive David Matthews said the re-signings were another strong endorsement of the club.
"We have made significant progress on the field this season and have shown we can match it with the best sides in the AFL," he said.

"We also have developed a strong culture and we have a very close playing group which knows we are building for success and want to be part of the exciting journey ahead."

Kennedy, 22, has played 54 games for the GIANTS, including 20 in 2014, and has become one of the club's most reliable defenders since he made his debut in 2012.

“I've extended my contract because I love the club. It’s like a family for me and I am very excited about where we are going,” Kennedy said.

Haynes, 21, has played 27 games since he was selected as pick seven in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft. He was enjoying his best season in 2014 before he broke his ankle against West Coast in Round 8.

“I’m really excited about what the future holds for this club, we have amazing new facilities, great coaching staff and hopefully we can keep this group of players together to continue to improve each year,” he said. “I love living in Sydney and I can see myself living here for a long time.”

Lobb, 21, was drafted to the GIANTS with pick 29 in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft and has played two AFL games in his first season, kicking a goal with his first kick against Essendon in Round 12.

“I’ve really settled well into Sydney and have enjoyed my time with the GIANTS this year,” he said. “We’ve got a great bunch of players, fantastic facilities and we can all see the direction the club is heading. I’m really excited to be a part of it, and wouldn’t want to be playing my football anywhere else."
