The GIANTS have made three changes, including number one draft pick Tom Boyd, for the match against the Adelaide Crows at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

Small forward Devon Smith returns from a one week suspension while defender Zac Williams has been selected for his first match of the season.

Andrew Phillips, Matt Buntine and Jono O’Rourke have been named as emergencies.

Vice-captain Heath Shaw will miss the match with a hamstring injury while Liam Sumner and Jacob Townsend have been omitted.

Head Coach Leon Cameron said: "It’s great to see Tom Boyd get his opportunity at AFL level. He’ll play as a key forward but also helping out Jon Giles in the ruck.

“He’s been showing some really good signs for the UWS GIANTS in the NEAFL and we we’re looking forward to him continuing that form on Sunday.

“It’s a great opportunity for our young club to play at Adelaide Oval for the first time. It’s a fantastic venue, they’ve done a great job redeveloping the grandstands and the ground as well.

“It’s a really tough task for us up against the Crows who are back in form but we’ve played 16 quarters of pretty good footy this season so we’re looking forward to the challenge ahead of us."

The match will be broadcast on Fox Footy and 7Mate in NSW and the ACT from 1pm on Sunday.
