Young Greater Western Sydney stars from the GWS Giants will be supporting the Sydney Thunder in this years T20 Big Bash League.

Among them will be former junior cricket star and GIANTS midfielder Stephen Coniglio who along with Co-Captain Phil Davis have signed up as members of the Sydney Thunder.

"It was great for Phil and I to meet a few of the Thunder players at ANZ Stadium a couple of weeks ago and Tom (Scully) and Callan (Ward) are rapt to be picking up the willow today," Coniglio said from Thunder training at Blacktown.

"The boys are all heading along to the game against the Adelaide Strikers and will be right behind the Thunder. It's great to be able to form these partnerships with other sporting clubs in Western Sydney and it would be great to see all the kids in the area swinging a bat and kicking a Sherrin this summer."
