Nick Maxwell played 208 games for Collingwood after joining the Magpies via the 2002 rookie draft. He captained Collingwood from 2007 to 2013 and led the club to the 2010 premiership.
Since retiring in 2014, Maxwell has worked in a leadership capacity at NRL club the Melbourne Storm as well as in the media with Channel 7 and SEN.
At the end of 2015, Maxwell joined the club in a part-time role as part of the GIANTS’ leadership program.
Maxwell will deliver a range of leadership programs and initiatives across the entire playing group while working closely with the GIANTS leadership group and emerging leaders.
In addition to his leadership work, Maxwell will take on a specialist role with the backline one day a week and on match days in 2016.
