Here at the GIANTS, our Athletic Performance Unit (APU), strives every day to evolve our players into the most athletic and robust athletes in world sport. Our inter-disciplinary team consists of specialists in the areas of: 

  • Strength and power
  • Fitness and conditioning
  • Sports medicine and physiotherapy
  • Injury prevention and rehabilitation
  • Sports Science and analytics
  • Performance nutrition and dietetics
  • Sports psychology

The aims of our programme are to enhance the strength, power, fitness, recovery and resilience of the players.  There is no single person charged with this responsibility, it is a team effort with all facets of the APU working collaboratively to provide the coaches with a full list of players that have the physical and mental competitive edge on our opponents. 

We are also committed to the development of the performance profession through research, strong links with elite organisations around the world, regularly hosting education events and with our successful FastTrack Traineeship and Immersion Programs.
